APO-Triazide is a combination of 2 drugs, that is, hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene. The mixture of these medications helps the body get rid of excess water and salt. Triamterene is a potassium-sparing diuretic which aids in potassium retention. On the other hand, hydrochlorothiazide helps the body lose potassium. Usually, it is not a requirement to get potassium supplements while taking APO-Triazide.
